Overview

Concept of Modulations is to provide more flexibility in monitoring system, to fit with time constraints. 
  

Each datacenter needs a backup period. During this period, some servers and applications are less available because of the load, or because of the need to stop some critical application.

To prevent massive notifications, and false positive results, modulations will help administrators to make permissive monitoring during some periods of time.

To configure modulations, it is necessary to set time periods first.

Modulations can act on priority and data (macros), depending on your needs.

 
  

Access the Modulations config

 
  

Modulations Configuration can be accessed by the Main Menu "Elements".

When pointing cursor over Modulations in the Main Menu, a sub menu appears,
showing 2 categories :

  • Business Impact Modulations
  • Data Modulations

Select one of the sub categories to get into Configuration.

Note: Selecting Modulations in the Main Menu, is the same as selecting Business Impact Modulations
in the Sub Menu.
