This guide will help you install or update Shinken Enterprise on a Linux server.
When installing/updating Shinken Entreprise, the document-oriented database management system MongoDB is put in place. This database system will allow the correct functioning of the Configuration and Visualization interface. Used with a MongoDB database, Graphiteis a tool to store the metrics of your probes. So as not to create a malfunction, we ask you not to update MongoDB / Graphite. Simply leave the versions provided by us in place.

An Enterprise Shinken installation can be composed of many servers to cover several datacenters/countries, but each server included in this architecture will follow the same installation/upgrade procedure, regardless of their role.
To set up this distributed architecture, you will have to go to the configuration phase of your daemons (names and IP of the servers, kingdom, spare, Tag of the Pollers, retention...).
NOTE: We strongly recommend the installation of Shinkens on dedicated machines, because Shinken company installs everything it needs to operate and takes care of the updates itself when mounting versions.
